  patisotagami

Thailand

A mural showing the Patisotagami i.e. a term that means to go against the current.

It is used to describe the event in which the Buddha floated a bowl upstream, against the current of a river. The scene is often under-stood as an allegory that signifies that his teaching went against all the teachings of his day.
